Shelley Murphy and her family have lived in the Town of Moreau for 34 years. Her son grew up attending South Glens Falls schools, and participating in a variety of town sports and activities. He enjoyed the camaraderie and joy of Marathon Dance and was one of MCC’s original “Latchkey Kids.”
- Shelley retired after 37 years of service at the Saratoga County Department of Social Services and the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. During that time gaining experience in a variety of children’s services program areas including child protective, adoption, foster care and day care. She retired to become a full time caregiver for her Aunt and Dad, gaining experience and insight into the needs and challenges of accessing valuable services as we age.
- Members of the MCC may recognize her from many years at the Senior Swim Program, and travel opportunities. She is an active member of the Friends of Crandall Public Library and participates in various other community groups.
- She enjoys spending time working together with everyone to continue the legacy and growth of the MCC
