12 Feb KEEP THE WHEELS TURNING ON THE BUS – WE NEED YOUR HELP!
February 12, 2026
Dear Community Center Supporter,
For over 50 years, the Moreau Community Center has been a place where our community comes together to care for one another. As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary in 2026, we are proud of the services we provide and today, we’re asking for your help to strengthen one of the most essential.
Our Dial-A-Bus program is often a lifeline for seniors and people with disabilities, providing reliable transportation to medical appointments, grocery stores, essential errands, and weekly “Special Trips.” For many of our neighbors, it is the only safe and affordable way to stay connected to the world around them. Nearly every day, Dial-A-Bus brings seniors to our “Gather & Dine” lunch, where a nutritious meal is paired with conversation, laughter, and friendship. For many riders, the bus is the reason they are able to leave their home, share a meal, and feel part of a caring community. “Jose, the bus driver, is so friendly and helpful. I really appreciate all he does!” says one rider.
While the 16-passenger bus itself was generously funded through a federal grant, these grants do not cover the ongoing, day-to-day costs that keep the wheels turning. Rising fuel prices, increased repair needs, and general maintenance expenses have created some financial challenges.
Simply put, we need your help to keep the bus rolling.
Your donation today directly supports:
• Gas and fuel
• Repairs and routine maintenance
• Driver hours
• Safe, reliable transportation for the people who rely on us most
Every contribution, no matter the size, helps ensure that no senior or neighbor with a disability has to miss a medical appointment or go without essentials because they cannot get there.
As we prepare to celebrate the Center’s 50 years of service to South Glens Falls and the Town of Moreau, we hope you will join us in strengthening the programs that have made such a difference in our community. Your gift today is not just support for a bus; it’s support for dignity, independence, and care.
If you are able, please consider making a tax-deductible donation using the QR code, mailing a check, or calling us for credit card processing. Please feel free to contact me for more information and ways that you can help. Together, we can keep the wheels turning for the people who need us most.

With gratitude,
