Military Honor Banners: Applications for 2026-2028 now available

The Moreau Community Center is pleased to announce that applications are now available for the Military Honors Banner Program, a meaningful community initiative recognizing South Glens Falls/Town of Moreau veterans.

Each banner features a photograph of the veteran, along with their name and branch of service. Banners will be proudly displayed beginning in the South Glens Falls downtown area and continuing south on Main Street toward Saratoga Avenue. The banners will hang annually from Memorial Day through Veterans Day for a two-year period.

Applicants or sponsors must be able to provide a photograph of the veteran (preferably an electronic image in uniform), proof of military service, and proof of residence in the Town of Moreau. Current residency is not required. The cost of a banner is $195, and sponsors will receive the banner at the conclusion of the two-year display period.

Applications and all required documentation, along with payment, must be received by March 27, 2026. Due to a limited number of available poles, only about 70 banners will be accepted. Applications received beyond that number will be placed on a waiting list. Reservations cannot be accepted.

This honored program is made possible through a collaborative effort of community members, and the staff of the Village of South Glens Falls and the Moreau Community Center. Applications are available online or at the Moreau Community Center.
