We’re Here to Help — and Here’s How You Can Too

With so much uncertainty about funding cuts to programs like SNAP, HEAP, and other vital supports, we want everyone in our community to know: The Moreau Community Center is here to help.

As always, appointments are appreciated to ensure every visitor receives the time and attention they deserve. Our staff is small but mighty, and this helps us serve everyone efficiently and with care.

We’ve also received many heartfelt messages from local organizations and neighbors asking how they can help, especially when it comes to supporting our food pantry. We truly live in such a kind and generous community!

Here are some great ways to make a difference:

 If you need assistance, please call to make an appointment. We’re here to help you navigate challenges with compassion and confidentiality.

 If you’d like to donate to the food pantry, please contact us first to find out what items are most needed. We’re blessed with so many donations this time of year, but space is limited and your thoughtful coordination helps us make the best use of every contribution. If your group or organization would like to host a food drive, we’d love to help you plan and promote it! Remember, the need continues all year long, not just during the holidays.

 Financial donations are always appreciated and can even be directed to a specific program if you’d like your gift to support a certain area of need. You can make an online donation at https://moreaucommunitycenter.org/donate/

 Support our Holiday Caring Program! You can make a big difference by donating or “adopting” a family for Thanksgiving or the December holidays. This program provides meals and gifts for local families, ensuring everyone can share in the season’s joy.

 Be a good neighbor. If you know a family with children or a senior on your street, consider dropping off a small bag of groceries or pantry items. One simple gesture could mean a warm dinner for someone who truly needs it.
