Skills4Life: “A Workshop on Winning Customer Service”

December 5, 2022 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Free

South Glens Falls, NY: The Moreau Community Center, 144 Main Street, South Glens Falls, New York will host their first workforce development training, “A Workshop in Winning Customer Service” on Monday, December 5th at 3:30 and 5:30 p.m. Funded by a generous Spectrum grant, the Center’s Skills4Life program’s mission is to provide professional, reliable, and impactful life skills and career development services to help individuals of all ages create fulfilling life journeys, and to help connect them to employers.

“Moreau Community Center is thrilled to be partnering with Spectrum through their national Community Center Assist grant program to provide much-needed services in our community,” said Donna Nichols, Executive Director of the Center. “Strong partnerships are the basis for getting things done that positively impact people. We look forward to collaborating with local employers and organizations to develop trainings and support services for job seekers, as well as current and potential employees.” As part of the Skills4Life program, 25 Google Chromebooks and workspace cubicles are available free of charge to individuals in need of internet and laptop access, as well as for classroom instruction. “This program is more than just about finding a job: it’s about providing the resources for successful living which the Center has been providing for years such as resume writing, resource referrals, and form completion for various programs, as well as food and clothing.”

Attendees of the “Workshop on Winning Customer Service” will learn, review, and discuss important customer service skills that will benefit them as an employee as well as employer. The program is free to the public and Certificates of Completion will be provided to attendees. To register and for more information about Skills4Life, contact Lorrie Citarella at (518)792-6007 x13 or www.moreaucommunitycenter.org/Skills4Life.

Founded in 1977, the Moreau Community Center, a 501(3)c not-for-profit organization, is one of the major human service agencies serving citizens of all ages in northern Saratoga and surrounding parts of Washington and Warren Counties.
