South Glens Falls, NY: The Moreau Community Center will host the 12^th annual Moreau Community Center Block Party & Basket Raffle on Saturday, September 7, 2024, 9 am to 3pm, at 144 Main Street and along New Street, South Glens Falls, NY. This free, family-friendly event will include a mum sale, food, music, face painting, vendors, games, prizes, a bounce house, a dunk tank, animals, and more to support the mission and community work of the Center. There will also be a large basket raffle, a favorite block party tradition, with over 100 baskets. Sponsors for the block party include Carriage Traders, Hudson Headwaters Health Network, Casella Waste, Garden Time, The Center’s Craft & Floral Ladies, and Northern Builders for donating their parking lot. The event is rain-or-shine, tobacco-free, and predominantly outdoors on the Center property and on New Street which will be closed to through traffic that day. Basket raffle donations are appreciated.

 “This event is always so much fun for the community and an important awareness and fundraising event for the Center,” says Executive Director, Donna Nichols. “ We appreciate all the sponsors, donors, and volunteers who support the event yearly. It’s so much fun!”

Founded in 1977, the Moreau Community Center, a not-for-profit organization in South Glens Falls, New York, has served as one of the major human service agencies in northern Saratoga County and surrounding areas.
