Military Honors Banner Program at the Moreau Community Center

The Moreau Community Center is proud to announce the creation of the Miliary Honors Banner Program: a community recognition of South Glens Falls veterans.

Each banner will include a picture of the veteran with their name and area of service. Banners will be displayed starting in South Glens Falls ‘downtown’ heading south on Main Street towards Saratoga Avenue for a two year period from Memorial Day through Veteran’s Day. Sponsors/applicants must be able to provide a picture (preferably an electronic photo in uniform), proof of service and residence in the Town of Moreau. (Current residency is not required.) The price is $195 and sponsors will receive the banner at the end of the two year period. Deadline for applications is March 29, 2024 and any after #50 will be on a possible waiting list. All documents and payment need to be received by this date. Because of the limited number of available poles (about 50), reservations will not be accepted.

This wonderful program is the result of a collaborative effort by citizens, elected officials, and staff of the Village of South Glens Falls. Application can be picked up at the Moreau Community Center. For more information, contact Cheryl at (518)792-6007 x16, cheryl@moreaucommunitycenter.org.
